LaRiSa Resorts, known for their luxurious accommodations, seeks to elevate the online booking experience for their valued guests.

Objective

This project aims to migrate their existing store to a new platform, prioritizing a user-friendly interface and streamlined booking process. This will ensure a seamless journey for guests, allowing them to effortlessly reserve their dream LaRiSa getaway.

The Challenges

The previous website, custom-built in PHP, presented a series of challenges for the hotel:

  • Limited Flexibility: Any changes or customizations require developer intervention, hindering agility, responsiveness and independence.
  • Security Concerns: Custom websites are often more vulnerable to security breaches, putting guest data at risk.
  • Outdated Design and UI/UX: The website's design and user interface (UI/UX) were outdated, failing to capture the attention of modern travelers and impacting user experience.
  • Performance Woes: Slow loading times due to the custom framework frustrated potential guests and hurt conversion rates.
  • Conversion Blindspot: Without conversion tracking, the hotel lacked transparency into where bookings originated, hindering marketing efforts.
  • Hotel Website on Shopify E Commerce: Another challenge that we faced was that of how to bring a Hotel/Resort website to life on Shopify, which is built for E Commerce Operations. How to show bookings was a major hurdle.

Our Solution

For Larisa, we used the following solutions 

  • From Vulnerable to Secure: We migrated LaRiSa's website from custom PHP to Shopify. This move addressed their security concerns by leveraging Shopify's robust security features. Additionally, Shopify's platform streamlined website performance, eliminating slow loading times and technical glitches.
  • A Brand Refresh:  We revamped LaRiSa's entire UI/UX design, giving them a fresh and modern brand identity that aligns perfectly with their commitment to personalized hospitality. This visual transformation enhances user experience and creates a more engaging website for potential guests.
  • Actionable Insights: Shopify's built-in analytics provide LaRiSa with clear visibility into their booking sources. This empowers them to make data-driven decisions and optimize their marketing strategies for maximum impact.
  • Conquering the Booking Challenge: Migrating a hotel website to Shopify presents a hurdle: showcasing available bookings. We overcame this challenge by seamlessly integrating Simplotel, a trusted vendor that manages hotel bookings. This integration allows LaRiSa to manage and display bookings directly through their website, creating a smooth user experience for guests.
